The last few years have seen Niseko grow to become one of the most popular ski resorts in the world. Niseko Powder Connection is based in Hirafu Village, the largest resort in the Niseko area, renowned for providing the perfect mix of Japanese culture and hospitality with international standard facilities and support

Why Niseko?

Located on Japan's northernmost island of Hokkaido, Niseko has become famous for receiving an average annual snowfall of 14 metres of the lightest, driest powder snow in the world.

Based on this, Niseko has flourished in recent years as more and more international guests come to Japan to join Japanese skiers and snowboarders in this winter paradise.

Niseko is not purely a winter resort, however, and summer also sees the village fill with people who come here for hiking, rafting, mountain biking and the world class golf courses.

Niseko Hirafu Village

Located in Hokkaido, the northern most island of Japan, Niseko-Hirafu is the perfect place to enjoy the snow. With a cozy village feel, yet boasting truly world class eateries and facilities, this is the place to stay and enjoy your Niseko Holiday.

Niseko is an international ski resort that attracts skiers and snowboarders from across Japan and all around the world. As a result, there are a vast number of restaurants, bars and shops as well as all the facilities a family would expect and need.

Whether you want to try delicious local Japanese food or a variety of western and Asian cuisine, there are so many restaurants that you will be spoiled for choice.

NPC can recommend plenty of places to eat, drink and shop once you arrive in Niseko.

There will be times when you come home from a day of skiing the mountain and want to buy food to take back or cook in the comfort of your own premium house or apartment. Niseko has two convenience stores, stocking most groceries and alcohol, one of which is open 24 hours a day. There are also 2 main supermarkets in Kutchan accessible by free bus.

Your Niseko holiday Tip #6

Please note: It is extremely important that guests have health insurance cover in case of accidents. In the case of an accident, the guest will have to pay the hospital directly- not cheap in Japan. As long as the guest has insurance, all hospital, translation and transfer fees will be covered by your insurance company.
